We try to make ourselves as comfortable as possible in cars, vans or buses.
Travel pillows come in handy for all these modes of travel. They are the little "ahhh" instead of "Ouch" that most of us feel after sitting too long. There are different types of these pillows available for sale on the market. Some are shaped in a small square, some round, some rectangular. The type of comfort it provides depends on what material it is stuffed with. I need to take an unexpected trip that will be 7 hours each way. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and am hoping to get some tips from others who took long car trips at this stage. Should I bring pillows for back support? What's the recommended break time? Thanks for your help!
Pillows for back support, lots of fluids and get out and stretch your legs at least every couple hours (which by then you will have to pee anyways!). Let your OB know you will be traveling so they can give you anyother ideas on what you shoul dbe concerned about. (They wont prevent you from going but may give you a few more hints)
