Call for Peace

ALEXANDER SOLZHENITSYN –"Another artist, recognising a higher  power above, gladly works as a humble apprentice beneath God's heaven; then, however, his responsibility for everything that is written or drawn, for the souls which perceive his work, is more exacting than ever. But, in return, it is not he who has created this world, not he who directs it, there is no doubt as to its foundations; the artist has merely to be more keenly aware than others of the harmony of the world, of the beauty and ugliness of the human contribution to it, and to communicate this acutely to his fellow-men. And in misfortune, and even at the depths of existence in destitution, in prison, in sickness — his sense of stable harmony never deserts him."

ALEXANDER SOLZHENITSYN –"One artist sees himself as the creator of an independent spiritual world;... but he crumples beneath it, for a mortal genius is not capable of bearing such a burden. Just as man in general, having declared himself the centre of existence, has not succeeded in creating a balanced spiritual system. And if misfortune overtakes him, he casts the blame upon the age-long disharmony of the world, upon the complexity of today's ruptured soul, or upon the stupidity of the public."

In the 21st century the context for deep, authentic, serious spirituality — which means transformational spirituality—is evolution, evolution not only of the individual but beyond the individual, The pursuit of holiness, the pursuit of enlightened consciousness, has traditionally been the path of the heroic and extraordinary individual — the holy one, the enlightened one. At the frontiers of human development, consciousness itself seems to be leaping beyond the confines of individuation, dramatically revealing new, thrilling, and unimagined possibilities of higher integration."

With the submission of the ego and the surrender of the personal will, the individual becomes aware of the presence of a powerful and unyielding energy. That energy is the movement of the life-force in a self-propelled state of conscious evolution or becoming."

ANDREW COHEN –"Doubt is Maya's face revealing itself. It will always try and tempt the weak-minded to turn tail and run... Serious seekers know they must face whatever is to be faced, because they must, succeed. These lucky few discover something very unexpected: Liberation in this birth."

ANDREW COHEN –"Doubt is Maya's face revealing itself. It will always try and tempt the weak-minded to turn tail and run... Serious seekers for Freedom cannot run.  They know they must face whatever is to be faced, because they must succeed. These lucky few discover something very unexpected: Liberation in this birth."

ANDREW COHEN –"Soul Consciousness The soul... in most of us, desperately needs to be developed. Too many of us live in a fractured state, deeply divided against ourselves. We exist in a self-generated vacuum of moral ambiguity, where everything is relative and our attention is focused mainly on our emotional state... We need to embrace a kind of fearless vulnerability where our transparency is our strength and the living experience of connection is permanent, unbroken and inescapable."

ANDREW COHEN –"Spiritual progress itself is part of the illusion, even though it seems real. Something has happened, I'm changing, I'm going somewhere, something is happening to me. Finally one realises that nothing happened, ever. You realise that all the drama of life was only a dream. Even the waking up."

ANDREW COHEN –"The age of personal or individual enlightenment is over. In the 21st century, the context for deep, authentic, serious spirituality — transformational spirituality — is evolution, not only of the individual but beyond. I   for those at the leading edge, the passionate pursuit and defenses of individualization have reached a dead end. The very movement toward higher development now calls for a leap beyond the personal sphere. The pursuit of enlightened consciousness has traditionally been the path of the heroic and extraordinary individual. But now the evolutionary imperative of our time seems to be compelling us to develop beyond what we could call personal realization to something else altogether. At the frontiers of human development, consciousness itself seems to be leaping beyond the confines of individuation, dramatically revealing new, thrilling, and unimagined possibilities of higher integration."

Andrew Cohen –"The source and ground of everything that has become, and that is even now in a constant state of becoming, is that place where there is no time and where nothing ever happened. Nothing and Something cannot be separated because they are simply two sides of the same coin. That's the meaning of non-duality and that is what enlightenment is."

Andrew Cohen –"There are two fundamental components of the experience of enlightenment. One is the profound and overwhelming discovery of the primordial ground of reality itself. That ground is where there is no time, where the unmanifest, unborn Self abides in the consciousness of absolute zero, or no thing whatsoever. In the awakened state, that primordial ground emerges in consciousness as the direct experience of everything being perfect just as it is."

ANDREW COHEN –"When you awaken to the creative principle, you discover that the whole point of being here is to participate fully, radically, consciously in the evolutionary process. So in what I call evolutionary enlightenment, the goal is not merely to transcend the world so that you can be free of it, but to embrace the world completely, to embrace the entire process as your own self, knowing that you are the creative principle incarnate, and you have a lot of work to do. That is why, when you relinquish the ego and say yes to the powerful impulse to evolve, you find that you are in touch with a source of strength and conviction that is boundless. As an individual, you are instantaneously liberated, simply through taking that step, but that liberation is merely a byproduct of finally embracing the awe-inspiring burden of the evolutionary process itself."

ANDREW JACKSON –"Every good citizen makes his country's honour his own, and cherishes it not only as precious but; as sacred. He is willing to risk his life in its defence and is conscious that he gains protection while he gives it."

ANDREW JACKSON –"Heaven will be no heaven to me if I do not meet my wife there."

ANDREW JACKSON –"It's a damn poor mind that can think of only one way to spell a word!"

ANDREW JACKSON –"One man with courage makes a majority."

ANDREW JACKSON- "There are no necessary evils in Government, It's evil exist in only in its abuse."

ANDREW KUNTZ –"I find working with glass meditative, almost therapeutic. I can leave the world behind, and focus... The simplicity of form, the drama of rich, intense colour, the joy of challenge, and the challenge of endurance... The piece, when it is over, is not what is made, but how it is made."

ANDREW MARVELL –"The mind, that ocean where each kind/ does straight its own resemblance find;/ Yet it creates, transcending these, / Far other worlds, and other seas."

ANDREW MATTHEWS –"Act as if every event has a purpose, and your life will have purpose."

ANDY ROONEY –"The average dog is a nicer person than the average person."

ANDY WARHOL –"Being born is like being kidnapped. And then sold into slavery."

ANDY WARHOL- "In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes."

ANGELINA JOLIE –"I am the kind of person who doesn't recognize borders. I don't understand why we think it is okay to keep some people within one border when they are unable to feed their family when they could be getting help somewhere else. I don't see people as different so i don't understand the idea of borders in this world."

ANGUTTARA NIKAYA –"At the thought "Wealth is mine acquired by energetic striving, amassed by strength of arm, won by sweat, lawful and lawfully gotten", bliss comes to him, satisfaction comes to him."

ANGUTTARA NIKAYA –"When cattle are crossing, if the old bull swerves, they all go swerving, following his lead. So among men, if he who's reckoned best lies not aright, much more do other folk. If the ruler be unrighteous, the whole land dwells in woe."

It is a season when nature regenerates and everything is fresh and new. The cool morning air is laden with the faint smell of Mango blossoms... Mustard fields turn into a heady mix of yellow and green as the blossoms add colour, poetry and romance to life. The goddess Saraswati is dressed in yellow garments and people wear yellow-coloured clothes."

ANJLEENA KHUNGER –"It's of no use holding others responsible for your ruin, destruction... because whatever happens to you is the result of something bad you've done someone, somewhere in the past. Drawing Visitors To Wisconsin Dells

Situated in the nation's heartland is a stunning stretch of river way that has beckoned to sightseers since the 1850s. Towering sandstone cliffs line its banks, monuments of nature's glory; silent sentinels of time. These spectacular layered rock formations are "the Dells" of the Wisconsin River-a 71/2-mile route that winds through lands once inhabited by Native Americans, explored by fur traders, maneuvered by lumber raftsmen and settled by early pioneers. Today, the route is probably best viewed by way of a Dells Boat Tour.

"River tours are what first drew visitors to Wisconsin Dells more than 150 years ago and today the unique sandstone formations are just as breathtaking," said Dan Gavinski, general manager of the tours.

In the beginning, tours were offered by way of rowboats-guides would do the talking while passengers did the rowing. Eventually, steamboats plied the river before giving way to today's double-decker steel vessels that carry thousands of visitors each season.

A variety of excursions are offered, allowing visitors to get out on the water and see nature's impressive works of art. The most popular tour takes sightseers through the glorious Upper Dells, with its striking rocky cliffs and mysterious canyons, to explore on foot. Sandstone rocks along the Upper Dells tower more than 75 feet above the river, showcasing beautiful hues that change with the sunlight. The cliffs take on eerie shapes, their history reflected in their names, many given to them by native people or early explorers to this region.

"Wisconsin Dells has a rich past, and we weave much of that early history throughout our narrated tours," Gavinski said.

One of the area's early pioneers was H.H. Bennett, a landscape photographer whose photos are credited with winning the interest of travelers to seek out the beautiful scenery they portrayed. Historians today consider Bennett "the man who made the Dells famous," most notably by the first-ever stop-action photo he captured of his son leaping in midair from a rock ledge 47 feet off the ground to an incredible rock outcropping five feet away. Stand Rock is a 12 by 20 slab supported by a tapered pillar of layered sandstone. Bennett's photo of this amazing column went around the world and thus began Stand Rock's moniker as the "Trademark of the Dells." Only on a Dells Boat Tour can visitors take a short stroll into the woods to see the impressive Stand Rock and watch specially trained dogs leap the chasm.

Another exclusive shore landing takes visitors along a boardwalk into a shady cavern known as Witches Gulch. Hugged by steep cliffs on either side, Witches Gulch captures the essence of the Dells' abundant scenic treasures. What you see is indicative of Wisconsin's Driftless Area, the southwest one-third of the state that was untouched by glaciers. However, as the glaciers slowly melted, water dammed up to the north of this region. About 14,000 years ago, the glacial lake let loose, sending floodwaters gushing out and cutting out the eerie and beautiful shapes of the Dells.

Today, Wisconsin Dells is a popular family vacation spot about halfway between Chicago and Minneapolis. Although the river has long been the natural attraction, the destination is also bustling with man-made activities. The area boasts go-karts, waterparks, Original Wisconsin Ducks amphibious tours and thrill rides, including Dells Jet Boat Adventures, a fast-paced tour.

12 Coolest iPad Cases for your iPad

12 Coolest iPad Cases for your iPad – www.g-batteryshop.com

Etch A Sketch iPad Case

Is your iPad a toy? You betcha! Make it even more fun with a clever case that makes it look like the Etch A Sketch you used as a child. Oh, yeah, it also protects your iPad from scratches and dings.

iMaxi

If you were wondering which is the latest and coolest iPad case, you don't need to look too far. There have been several designers already trying to create cases which exemplify the term geek-chic. The Apple iPad has inspired designers to create the iMaxi, which is a cool quilted cotton sleeve. Designer Hiphandmaids conceived the idea of an iMaxi based on personal hygiene napkins. If you have an iPad, and would like to protect it from motherboard leaks and other "accidents" you could go and get yourself this iMaxi. It just makes me think what people might think when you open your iPad. That you had been keeping your iPad in your sanitary pad? I am sure not many people would want to touch your gadgets or even you for that matter! If you do not mind a few giggles and a few disgusted looks, you could go ahead and get yourself the iMaxi.

Book Case

The BookBook has already been released for the MacBook, but now it's making its way to the iPad to make sure that it stays safe as well. The BookBook converts your modern looking gadgets into antique books. It's the perfect case for the gadget lover that still loves the smell and look of antique books. Plus, it might work as a theft deterrent since it looks like nothing more than a simple hardcover book. The cover zips up to keep the iPad inside, plus there are plenty of things inside of the book to make sure that your iPad doesn't shift around. Thanks to the hardcover case, this also doubles as a handy little stand. The case may be mildly bulky, but at least it does double duty. Plus you'll probably very rarely come across anyone with a case quite like this one. There are two different color options for the case, both of which are pictured above.

Quality Battery Supplier: www.g-batteryshop.com supply high quality laptop batteries, notebook batteries, HP Laptop Batteries, Toshiba Laptop Batteries, Fujitsu Laptop Batteries, Acer Laptop Batteries, Apple Laptop Batteries, Dell Laptop Batteries for USA laptop users. TOSHIBA PA3672U-1BRS Laptop Battery 14.4V, 4800mAh, Li-ion, Silver, Brand New 1 Year Warranty only US $84.99

iPad Waterproof Case

The iPad being the newest obsession for many, it will sure need all of the random accessories that the rest of the Apple products have received. Those of you that like to be around a whole lot of water might want to consider picking up this case. It'll make sure you have full use of your iPad, but it will also make sure that it stays completely dry. The case even has an incredibly attractive strap that can be used to make the iPad hang from your neck. I'm sure you'll pick up even potential partners if you hang this around your neck while you're wearing a bathing suit at your local pool.

Steampunk iPad

Weighing in at just under 14 pounds and reinforced with solid brass, it's the industrial strength iPad.

RibCage iPad case

This alien looking case from Switch Easy, offers the iPad owner the chance to keep their precious device in tip top condition, rather than leaving it lying around or putting it down onto surfaces where it is likely to get scratched. The case is made from a faux leather type material with increased protection for the screen; however, the downside is that you have to keep taking the iPad out of the case to use it!

Swarovski iPad Case

DSstyles is responsible for the creation of the iPad Swarovski case, an entire new series crystallized product from DS. Crystals. The crystallized iPad case adds more than 6000 Swarovski crystals to your latest gadget. This is the eighth product series from DS. Crystals. DS. Crystals is creating new iPad cases after their remarkable success for their Swarovski iPhone case series. The new iPad case series is characterized by its extreme large crystallized surface and shiny crystals effects. The production time for the new iPad case is 6 times more than the iPhone case as it carries more than 6000 Swarovski crystals. The use of different size crystals becomes more challenging as the surface of the iPad is much larger.

Retro TV iPad Case

A love for innovative designs and the employing of old and outdated home appliances, are the factors inspiring Jonas Damon's great design. The TV iPad case. The case is made with wood. However, no single thing used for making this wooden case was purchased. Rather, the materials to build it were found lying around in the nooks and crannies of his apartment. The style of the case resembles that of an old-school cathode-ray television which adds a charming retro touch to the whole thing. The overall look of the case is completed with his use of the screensaver depicting an 50′s grainy television snow. It's a truly brilliant tribute to the TV days of yesteryear.

Bacon iPad case

Bacon and Apple products go together like peas and carrots. Or lamb and tuna fish. They're both the perfect byproducts of their respective categories. Pimp your iPad with pork with the custom made Bacon iPad case. It might not be actual bacon, but its realistic design is enough to make you wish you had a side of eggs to go with your balanced breakfast of pork and tablet. Created by Etsy merchant Antjes, for about $60 you can have your very own Bacon iPad Case. The perfect greasy side dish to match the high fiber intake of your Apple tablet.

iArm

Are you the life of the company, as well as the resident joker? Well, if you happen to own an iPad or tablet device, then you might be interested to check out what the iArm could do for you. Potentially being one of the more interesting Apple accessories out there, this forearm mount will "empower" you with an additional arm. Capable of attaching to iPads, tablet PCs, eReaders, cell phones, and others, the iArm tips the scales at a mere 4.5 lbs. and is fully adjustable, The iArm itself will let you tote your favorite device with you, where the optional "multi-mount" allows you to secure up to three more items simultaneously.

The only problem is that the iArm is a fake product, depicted on a Prank Pack, on a prank gift box that are used to fool a gift recipient into thinking they just got the stupidest gift ever – until they open the prank box and see their real gift.

Wooden iPad Case

Want to protect your fresh iPad in an eco-friendly way? No doubt, an iPad wooden case is the obvious choice such as the Vers iPad case.

Domo Kun iPad Case

Fancy something a little different to protect your iPad with? Then check out this fun Domo Kun Case. This little critter is sure to keep your iPad snug with its 2 layers of cozy felt. All features such as his pearly whites and his beady eyes are machine sewn. The inside is lined with brown felt and there are no visible seams, so your i-gadget will glide in nicely.

Ten Tips for Dads Traveling With Kids

Tip #1: Remember who your fellow travelers are.

Just as you wouldn't take your sports-ambivalent wife to a week of baseball training camp, try to figure out destinations the whole family can enjoy.

That doesn't mean it has to be Disneyland or the least common denominator. Think, instead, of places that will have real highlights for all members of the family. New York City, for example, can satisfy many different types of people with museums, sports legends, nightlife, theatre, and even great parks.

If you pick a single-interest destination, like DisneyWorld, make sure the entire family can enjoy the focused activity. If not, plan before the trip on how to build in some other variety and set up expectations accordingly. If the kids think you're spending seven straight days at DisneyWorld and you take half of that to visit other attractions without setting it up first, you may have a mutiny.

Tip #2: Ask your kids to help plan.

We like the Kids City Walks cards series because you can spread them out and deal them like cards. Easier for everyone to see than passing out a book, the cards give everyone a chance to pick an itinerary and there will still likely be things of interest for the whole group.

Have everyone look through the guide books or websites and choose at least one thing they really want to do, so no one feels like they are being dragged along an entire holiday.

Tip #3: Try to stay near the center of your destination and activities.

Nothing aggravates family dynamics and the fatigue factor like long car trips or transit. Even if it means cutting back elsewhere, a great location can really ease a lot of tension when a trip back to the hotel is easy.

Tip #4: Consider an apartment rental or hotel apartment.

Nowadays, there are many more options than having the whole family stay in a single room. That's not a vacation for you or your teen. Short stay apartment rentals give you more space for your dollar and feature a kitchen for more casual meals (pizza!) and cheaper breakfasts.

Tip #5: Set up a vacation budget.

Even for kids starting around age six, it's better to give out a fixed amount for souvenirs and extras before the trip starts.

If you say that the money is theirs to spend as they see fit and they keep whatever they don't spend, you'll create a strong lesson in budgeting, but you'll also be amazed at how many things now seem unnecessary for them.

Tip #6: Inventory all medical needs.

Nothing is worse than traveling with kids and realizing you forgot the correct medicines. This is one area where even the most relaxed parent should get into control-freak list-making.

Start with colds and cough, and work from there, covering bug bites, cuts, suntan lotion, Tylenol, thermometer, and homeopathic remedies for carsickness. You know your kids – prepare for the worst that could happen short of calling a doctor.

Tip #7: Pack light.

With airlines finding new ways to charge for previously free services, a large added expense may be checked bags, which, at $15 each one way, can add up very fast for a small family. Packing simply will also save a lot on back-breaking lifting, which usually is dad's job.

Tip #8: Pack for the plane or car.

Fix lots of healthy, and some not-so-healthy snacks, especially for long plane rides where kids need variations on pretzels and soda.

It's not spoiling the kids to find some involving toys for them to discover once they get on the plane or a few hours into a car ride. Only buy things that will involve them and keep them busy.

Now is not the time to buy them something they've been craving just because they will like it. You want to focus on travel games, puzzles, and action figures that will keep them interested beyond the wow-what-is-this phase.

Avoid toys with small parts that, if lost, will render the toy useless. You do not want to hunt on airplane floors on your hands and knees.

Tip #9: Have the kids carry their own stuff.

We got a pint-sized rollaway for our daughter at age four that was a perfect size for her to carry her toys, favorite pillow, and even a full day supply of her brother's diapers.

Fanny packs are another good idea for small kids, to carry the few small items they want to play with in the plane or train.

Tip #10: Don't overdo and keep your spouse's expectations under control.

Especially if you don't travel a lot, it's easy to over-schedule and pack it all in. Plan for a regular day and cut it in half to cover tired, dawdling kids, longer meals, slower transit, and a nice long break at the end of the day before you head off to wrastle with them over mealtime.

Also find related articles like someone else's child is bratty, stinky, demanding, squawking, a noisy nuisance ...all of these things and sometimes at once. But your own is the little thing you're sworn to protect. So, given that your attitude changes when it's your baby, what parenting skills are most necessary?

What would you buy if your job gave you $500 a year for things that make traveling for them more comfortable?

I'm excited to be starting a new job at a place that gives me $500 a year in traveling allowances to buy stuff to make travel a little bit more comfortable since I'm on the road a lot. The items have to be justifyable that they make traveling more comfortable. Example - Travel Pillow, MP3 Player, IPOD, Leather Briefcase/laptop bag, Bose Headphones, etc.

Also, a PSP or a Nintendo DS would count as a justifyable expense (play on plane) but an XBOX 360 obviously would not.

One thing I'm considering getting is a set of webcams so I can see my kids' projects they might come home with from time to time while I'm on the road. But I'm having trouble deciding on what else.

So my question is, what would you pick?

i travel a TON!
what makes it better is:
my ipod and my nintendo DS.
no joke.
really.
best of luck in your new job. rocks that they give you extra for that!

Zipper Duffle Bag

Zipper Duffle Bag
Zipper Duffle Bag

How to Choose the Best Bag?

Ask a man to choose a bag, and he would take exactly 3 minutes. Ask a woman - and she might take 3 hours.

The biggest problem, while buying a bag, is that most people don't know what they want. Most women buy bags at the spur of the moment - they like something they see on a window display, go in to find out the cost, get distracted by other bags that the sales people tempt them with and end up buying something that looks great - but is not really useful.

So here are a few important questions you need to ask yourself before you splurge on a bag.

What type of a bag do you need? A handbag? A duffle bag? A backpack? This is the first and foremost question you have to ask yourself. This will lead to the next question. Where is the bag going to be used? Is it a bag to carry to the office? Or to take with you on your travels? Once you've figured that out you can ask yourself Why are you buying the bag? Is it because your old one got worn out? Because you don't have one? Or because the one you had, did not fulfill your requirement? This will help you choose a bag which is better and more productive than the ones you have used before. Another important question is What are you going to store in the bag? Depending on what you want to shove into your bag, you can decide on the fabric. And finally How frequently is it going to be used? If you plan to use it everyday, it needs to be sturdy.

Once you have answered these questions, you know what kind of bag you really require. You will automatically find yourself decisive and picking up ones that are best suited to your needs and it's easy from here on.

Give yourself time - Don't shop at the last minute or you're going to settle for something lesser. Give yourself a few days to look around your local shops / malls etc. to know what's available.

Fix a budget - You don't want to spend too much on a bag that's meant to carry your son's dirty football jersey's back home. You can go higher up for a glitzy fashion bag that you want to carry around to parties. Whatever the product, if you go with a budget in your head - you will not wander too far from it. If you go open minded, you might get tempted and buy something unnecessarily expensive.

Be focused - You know what you want. You know what you want. You know what you want. So stick to it. You've come to buy a bag, not that cute denim skirt.

Choosing colour - While baby pink might be your favourite colour, it would get dirtier faster if used everyday - or if used while travelling by local conveyance. You can buy a colour that you like, which suits your complexion but also think about the frequency at which it is going to be used. So a lighter colour would work fine for something that is used rarely, while a darker colour would be better suited for one that will be used frequently.

Choosing fabric - Leather is a status symbol, but a lot of people are also allergic to leather or do not like to buy it for ethical reasons. The next best thing to leather is Rexene which looks like leather, but is not. This fabric works well for handbags, but wears off easily and begins to look shabby 6 months down the line. A lady with a baby would prefer to use cloth-made soft bags - so that at no point it would hurt her baby. For a travelling bag, be safe and choose a high quality fabric, so that you're not left stranded in the middle of the airport.

To Brand or not to Brand? - This depends on your budget and your requirement. Brands are always a safer bet, but if you're looking for a bag to sling around your neck at college, as a style statement, shopping at your local flea market would be more advisable.

And finally, Check your bag before you make the purchase - Ensure there are no holes, or any wear and tear to the bag. And most importantly, make sure that all the zips work!

Hope this article helps you buy a bag of your requirement. Happy Shopping!

Summer Camp packing help!?

Okay, so i've been to summer camp before but I need a good orgnazation advice to keep all my things neat in my duffle bag (its one with a zipper on top its big to fit all my stuff with only one compartment) but it seems every year everything gets piled on top of each other (since i dont have much time to organize everything, every day)
also no space bags or the like for organizing because I dont have much time to organize so i wont have much time to do all the steps to make the air go down

ok you will need sandwhich bags and put the liquids in there (still in the bottle of course) stuff like conditioner and shampoo or you could invest in the 2 in 1 kind and then toothpaste toothbrush has its own holder the brush doesnt need a bag the deodorant needs a bag if it is liquid or gel not if its a solid...dont forget lotion and watever you are going to use to wash like a loufa it will need a bag also...ok now your shirts if you can fold them and then roll them it would be good but if you cant just fold them like you normally would and lay them on the bottom...put pajamas on top cause they will be the first thing you take out...umm i think thats it...have fun
