I already have booked a flight with United for May so I do not think this is fair since I already bought my ticket. I understand that the company needs to make a little more money to balance fuel costs however I think that there are too many people who check more than one suitcase and they will be unhappy with this new cost. Personally, I would agree to be charged for extra suitcases beyond 2 that I check. I believe that would be fair. I disagree with Thunder, I believe it will affect the majority of travelers.

The data transfer rate can reach up to 480 Mbps.

is there an adapter to make a usb port a firewire port?
Im trying to get my mini dv camcorder hooked up to my laptop and i dont have a card slot or a firewire port. What do i do now?
I agree with the important part of Iridflare's response - if you can't add a firewire port to your computer and it does not already have one, then you should get/borrow/use a computer with a firewire port.
But I must disagree on his other point - you can easily find USB-to-firewire cable/adapter/converter things - but they do not work, so don't bother.
Another option is to connect the camcorder's AV port to an external "analog/digital converter" (check Roxio, Hauppage, Pinnacle Dazzle and others. The video quality will be reduced from the high quality DV format video... but it might be an option for you to investigate.
