how do you keep baby's neck from falling forward in car seat?

My son is 5 months old. For a few months we used a head support but he has since outgrown it, I bought a small u shaped neck pillow and it doesnt seem to work, when he falls asleep in his car seat his neck falls forward and iam so afraid that if i stop suddenly he will get hurt, what have you used to prevent this from happening any suggestions would be helpful, thank you

pull the car seat on an angle if in guidelines otherwise roll up a swaddle cloth and put it under the top of his thighs were they join the bum puts them on a slight angle( not so the baby's legs are stuck in the air just slightly)
