To protect your home as well as make it more beautiful, homeowners need to know what is available on the market today. One of the best products that you can buy to enhance the beauty of your home, as well as provide safety and security for your family, is egress window well covers. An egress window well cover literally covers your window well, the gaping hole in the ground next to the foundation of your home.

Egress window well covers are designed to provide safety not only for people on the outside of your home, but also for those inside the home. They protect children, pets and anyone else who comes close to the window well from falling in and becoming injured. They keep debris, leaves and rainwater from collecting inside the well, and they keep wild animals from being trapped or from deliberately hibernating or making a home in your well. They also provide a safe escape route for people inside the home in case of a fire or other type of emergency. Safety should be every homeowner's first priority, so having egress window well covers is a smart decision.

Egress window wells are the perfect solutions to helping concerned homeowners save energy in their basements. A quality made custom window cover is a benefit to home owner's safety and security of their homes.

Can you plant things in the basement window wells?

We have two basement windows, both with window wells, and it looks pretty yucky in there from our basement. I know there's "Window Well" scenery film you can purchase, but it's kind of pricey, so I was wondering if one could just plant some greenery in there? It does get sunlight, as we do have clear window well covers on the openings, but they are cracked in spots (Hubby's great lawn mower maneuvering skills) and the cracks allow rain to get in there anyway. What type of tall plants or flowers would be possible to grow in there? Thanks : )

I have morning glories growing up out of mine on small trellises, and they look very nice. . . Then we have some stained glass window film on the windows also that you can purchase fairly cheap at places like Home Depot :) GL!!!
