Las Vegas, Exploring The Splendor of Las Vegas
Las Vegas has two centers – the wonderland of the Strip, and the older Downtown area, where the city began in 1905. The Strip is really Las Vegas Boulevard (Hwy 604), a 4.5-mile- (7.2-km-) long street that runs northeast through the city. The Downtown area crosses the Strip around Fremont Street. Strictly speaking, the part of the Strip that a lie south of the Sahara Hotel is in Clark County, while the city proper is centered around Downtown Vegas. Ringed by mountains, canyons, and desert, the Las Vegas area also has a wealth of natural beauty in a variety of parks, some of it just a short drive from the Strip.
Getting Around The dazzling sight of the Las Vegas strip, illuminated at night by myriad shimmering neon lights
The Strip is a long road, and driving is recommended as the best way to get around. Major hotels have free parking lots, as well as valet service. The number 301 bus runs along the Strip past Downtown, and a trolley bus service operates between Hacienda Avenue in the south Strip and the Sahara Hotel in the north. Both buses stop at all the major hotels on the Strip. Taxis are also an option and are best hailed at hotels.

Please include restaurants that are not buffets-I have to fit into my wedding dress!
That's a pretty long list, but I'll tell you what I know from experience. Any cafe should have reasonable prices and decent food.
Fremont Hotel (junk food there)- Go across the street to California Hotel and there is a Snack Shop downstairs on the opposite corner of the front desk. They have some pretty good food. Everything is cooked to order and reasonable. They have things like Japanese food (tempura, teriyaki), Chili (from Zippy's in Hawaii), sandwiches, etc.
Ethel M. Chocolate Factory - If you go to any station casino, a few nearby, they have a food court type area with pizza, new york deli, panda express, ice cream place, quiznos, and a cafe.
There is also a mall nearby (Galleria at Sunset) that is really good (good prices and sales) and has a food court and some restaurants.
We also have L&L on Stephanie and Sunset near Target, which sells Hawaiian style foods like shrimp curry, chicken katsu, hamburger steak, mahi, etc.
Hoover Dam - They have a small snack shop. There is nothing really close by.
Luxor - At the Luxor, they have a food court where they have McDonald's, some sandwich places, etc.
Caesar's Palace - I've stayed there and I don't remember any small places to eat, but they do have a mall where you can probably go to.
New York, New York has a lot of little places to eat.
Aladdin - The cafe (Zanzibar, I think), has good tasting food and wide variety. The eggs benedict is really good. I ate that for dinner a lot.
