A final package of a thing contributes to the decision of a person to buy it, whether be it a gadget, equipment, tool, dress, shoes, other garments and especially food. The way a restaurant or a bakeshop presents its products affects the buyer's decision to buy it. The more appealing is the food, the tastier it looks like. The same goes with a cake. An un-designed cake makes you think that its look is equal to its taste. But when there are decorations which make it look lively and sweet, it speaks for it. This is to prove that cake decorating is essential. Though having a colorful decoration does not directly imply that it tastes better than the simpler one. It is just that you have to make your cake look presentable so that the buyers or guests will be enticed.

Now, have you ever wondered how those cakes from the birthday parties, graduation parties, weddings and thanksgiving were made? Do you want to have that skill on cake decorating? Before you proceed to cake decorating, you need to know how to bake a cake beforehand. If you already know how to bake, let's now proceed on decorating the cake. Here are some decorations popular to most cakes.

STAR/ FLOWER

Get a decorating bag and put a star-shaped tip on it. You will make stars or star-shaped flowers. Hold the bag upright, while the tip of the bag is quarter of an inch above the surface of the cake. Squeeze the decorating bag so that the icing will let out and form a star. As you squeeze downward, pull the tip straight away from the cake. To make a flower, add a dot at the center of the star.

LEAF

Make a green icing and choose a leaf tip to be put on the decorating bag. Do the same steps just like how you do the star or flower.

GARLANDS

Use a star tip or a leaf tip when applying the whipped cream to the edges of the cake. Match both the top and bottom edges for a nicer look.

When decorating a cake, always remember not to overdo it. Too many decorations in a cake make it look messier than appealing. Cake decorating is very fun and rewarding when the people are amazed with its design.

Tacky ladies, to be tacky do you need at least something on you to be leopard?

You've seen it, something has to be beige with black dots. Something, an item of garment has to once have been or belonged to a leopard. Its either a leopard bag, or a leopard coat, a leopard piece sewn into the dress, even some bras have the inner lining in leopard. You want that leopard close to your heart don't you? Nothing says New Jersey like a bit of leopard after all? I hear leopard is huge, and an accepted form of I.D. for Moldavian and Ukranian ladies too. So from Jersey to Chernobyl, its leopard baby!
exactly...animal print, why is it so damn popular? its tacky!
im just envious, because im a man and cant wear animal print. Do they make speedoes in leopard?

I love tacky clothes, and sure you can wear tacky, get huge bright Hawaiian prints.

I don't have any leopard prints, but I have several shirts with flamingos on them, to match the ones in my lawn :]
