Should I get new rims for my RSX or should I have the stock rims powdercoated?

I was thinking about putting a new set of rims on my car, but then I saw some guy on the street powdercoated his stock rims on his Honda Fit with a black finish. They look pretty sharp. I was wondering if powdercoating was a good idea. Is it a durable finish? Does it fade or peel off? I have a white car, should I get the wheels powdercoated in black or white? Also, how much does it usually cost to powdercoat all rims?
I've already narrowed a few choices down Dr. Evil, I don't need you to say I'm some sort of lemming, Just give me your opinion based on aesthetics.

Powdercoat is very durable, and cheap if you do it at home in your oven. I think you should decide what you prefer. You have to drive it; we don't care what wheels you have. If we all say to paint them pink, would you jump off a bridge?
