Hard Shell Luggage

Choose between hard and soft cameras cases
There are many different kinds of cameras cases in the market. The main ones are hard and soft cameras cases. The hard camera cases are made of injection molded plastic. Thus you get a hard and stable case for your cameras. The hard cameras cases can effectively help in keeping your camera safe, even when you are traveling. One of the biggest concerns for camera trotting travelers today is damage to camera that is associated with transit. Without the right kind of hard solid cameras cases, it can be highly risky to check in your camera. After all, you will never know how your luggage is going to be handled when it will be loaded and unloaded from the plane.
Choose between hard and soft cameras cases
The downside to using hard cameras cases is that these are a bit bulky inside your luggage. This is because they are rigid. This means that they will take up a whole lot of space inside your bag as compared to the soft shelled cameras cases. There is only one way to do away with all that waste of luggage space. You need to get the best fitting hard shelled case that will be able to house your camera during transit.
The soft cameras cases are usually made out of leather. The material is soft, tough as well as waterproof. This way it is a great assurance of protection for your cameras. But aside from leather, these cameras cases can be made out of other equally strong and light materials as well. If you look at statistics, more photographers are using soft shell cameras cases today as compared to the hard ones. This is because they can take in practically any shape of your camera unit. Besides, these are also very easy to pack as well as store. Soft shelled cameras cases are much lighter and much more comfortable to carry around than the rigid hard cameras cases.
But the soft shelled cameras cases are not recommended to use during travel, especially in case you need to check in your luggage at the airport. In case your luggage is also soft case, then there is a very big risk of damage. The solution to all this is that you should get a hard shelled luggage instead. Or else, you can simply carry it as a hand luggage on the plane.
All this really depends on you as well as your destination. In case you really want to ensure your camera's safety, then you can invest on both soft camera as well as hard cameras cases. Then you can use each one according to your destination. In case you love your camera as well as your hobby that much, then ensure that the cameras cases you buy are top quality in order to make them a worth buy.
Use cameras cases for storing your camera too when they are not being used. This way they will be saved from moisture, dust and other elements. Besides, you know that they will be safe from children who may start treating your camera as a toy. The cameras cases are available in a wide range of colors and shapes.

Am I allowed to have a Carry-On and a separate "briefcase" on a plane?
I'm going to be flying in two days and I'm wondering if they'll really allow me to take my carry-on and a smaller bag i'm using for a laptop case. it's not precisely made fore laptops exactly but it's the right size for it and i have a laptop "sleeve" for extra protection for my laptop.
Plus I'm also kinda wondering what sort of suitcase would be best for my checked luggage bag. Would a duffel-like bag be jostled too much and would a hard shell suitcase be wiser? Any suggestions would be helpful!
