What options do I have for a car recall notice?
Apparently, I missed the original letter that GM sent to me. I'm not saying that I never received it. But last week, I received a post card to have work done on my car that GM is paying for. The work is for an "engine compartment fire". So yes, I'm definitely having the work done. That's not my question. My question is, am I eligible for a car rental? I'm sure that the work will probably be relatively quick, but just in case. FYI, I don't have rental car coverage in my car insurance. I ask because between paying and volunteer jobs, I am always on the go. Or should I "bite the bullet" and actually take a day off.
With all that you do for everyone maybe you should just sit back and take a day off while your car gets worked on, or you can ask the shop if they have a loner car for you. I would take the shuttle home, kick back and relax and have a free day from everything. When your car is ready they will call and pick you up . Nice to get taken care of once in a while
