THE LUGGAGE CLUB AND TRAVELOCITY TEAM UP TO CREATE AN AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE TO AIRLINE LUGGAGE FEES
Leading Luggage Service Provider Picks Up Your Luggage at Your Door and Guarantees Its On-Time Arrival
Madison, WI – May 20, 2009 -
The Luggage Club today announced a new agreement with Travelocity, a leading online travel company, which will offer door-to-door luggage delivery to Travelocity customers to more than 200 countries and territories.
“Airline luggage fees have created an entirely new service industry,” said Tim Macht with Luggage Club. “These fees have created a demand among travelers for a cost effective, low maintenance alternative to dragging luggage to, through and from the airport. Recent announcements of new overnight luggage delivery services being offered by other airlines indicate that there is a need for this service.”
The Luggage Club’s services are offered on Travelocity from the Activities tab of its homepage. Customers can search for the Luggage Club in the “other services” section for locales, both foreign and domestic.
“We recognize the need to offer new service products that make the travel experience more enjoyable for our customers,” said Noreen Henry, vice president hotels and packaging, Travelocity. “We have developed a program with The Luggage Club that will provide more of the services that our customers are looking for.”
The Travelocity/Luggage Club delivery program provides a cost effective, “economy” delivery service. Following is a comparison of several shipment options and their costs (prices reflect round trip delivery):

what is the best thing to do to recover an unclaimed luggage at the airport?and how?
I've just arrived here in the Phil. last sept.25,2007 and on that day when i was already at my place I've noticed that one of my suitcases was missing so i hurriedly informed my travel agency. They called up and reported it at my carrier's office, but one of their staff advised me to personally report it on the following day which i did. After presenting the necessary documents and identifications they traced it on the computer and found out that it was still in Bahrain(stop over). They asked my contact no.and promised to call me but they never did.Whenever i called, they always say"We will call you Ma'am".I'm tired and sicked of this line! The last time i called, they told me that in most cases they offered settlement as a solution but in my situation it can't be,because my suitcase is under "courtesy luggage".According to them,in cases like mine recovery took years.Imagine, years! But they don't even give me an assurance that i can get it back.I don't know if it's true and possible.
When it is courtesy luggage, you are probably dealing with another airline that you originally did not check it on, The Airlines that issued your bag tag may have not had baggage agreement with the other carrier which you may have flown on. There are airlines that do not have baggage agreement in which they consider it a courtesy to carry other bags or "rush" delayed bags and that airline is not responsible for the bags. So i am assuming you probably switched Airlines. The Airline you need to contact is the one that checked your bag on, but the one that was of supposed to recieve it are usually willing to help you out. If you still have your claim ticket it might still be in the system or they might have it somewhere. If the Airlines lost your bag is obligated to pay for it. But the only thing that worries me is that it seems like you didnt claim your bag right away when you landed. Most airlines require to file a claim some within 4 hrs. After that they will forfeit their responsibility that is the onlly thing that worries me about your situation. Contact your originating Airline or go to their desk and talk to them, if they are still unable to find the bag they should give you a lost baggage form. In order to be reimbursed. Best of Luck hope this helps.
I work for the Airlines.
