How do you fix a zipper? not like the other ones... more ... damaged (:?

I was zipping up a duffle bag... I guess it was too full cause about half way zipping it up, the zipper came off one side completly. I tried to fix it... and I just can't figure it out. So if anyone knows how. and it's not only like off track, but it compelty off on one side. Is it even fixable?

Sometimes you can get the zipper all the way to one end and get it restarted. If there are a few pieces at the beginning not engaged, sew the zipper shut just beyond it so it doesn't unzip from that end later on. I have fixed several zippers this way.
